About

A small studio in Sapporo

LOOP8 comes out of a design and manufacturing background in the sports industry: years spent developing equipment where fit, durability, and feel all have to hold up to real, repeated use. That same discipline carries over here. An American industrial designer with a long consumer-product background works on the build alongside the team, and every unit is made in-house rather than handed off to a contract line.

Production

Built in Japan, one at a time

There is no assembly line here. Each build is custom and made to order, in small batches, by the people who designed it.

Small batch

No mass production. Builds are custom and one-off, assembled in small batches as orders come in, not pulled from a warehouse shelf.

Made in Sapporo

Designed and assembled in Sapporo, Japan, to the same precision standards behind the parts themselves.

Ships worldwide

Every build ships internationally. Wherever you are, this is built to travel.

What's next

The cartridge work is already underway

The reengineered, user-fillable cartridge and the print-to-cartridge service on the roadmap have both been explored at a preliminary level already. Whether either moves into full development from here depends on interest. That's the honest state of it, not a promise of a date.
